The people of Roseau still need help in recovering from the flood.

The following organizations are working in areas affected by the 2002 flood:

Volunteers are still needed for flood recovery, especially volunteers skilled in construction trades. For information, call the North Border Interfaith Coalition, 1-218-463-3373.

The Roseau Flood Recovery Fund has been established through Roseau area community leaders and the Northwest Minnesota Foundation. Contributions can be sent to the Roseau Flood Recovery Fund and mailed to the City of Roseau, 110 2nd Ave. NE, Roseau MN 56751.

ELCA DOMESTIC Disaster Response - Credit card gift line: 1-800-638-3522. Or mail donations to ELCA Domestic Disaster Response, "Northern Minnesota Floods", PO Box 71764, Chicago IL 60694-1764. Also accepts donations online. This organization may need volunteers for cleanup and repair later.

Polaris Industries in Roseau has established a flood relief fund. The address for donations is Polaris-Roseau Disaster Relief Fund, Border State Bank, P.O. Box 40, Roseau, MN 56751.

Flooding also damaged homes in Warroad. The 2002 Warroad Area Recovery Fund has been established to help Warroad area residents with flood damage. Send contributions to 2002 Warroad Area Recovery Fund, c/o Security State Bank, PO Box 70, Warroad MN 56763.

Local Nonprofit Organizations needing assistance:

The Roseau County Museum had water damage to some of their exhibits and materials. Those who want to help the Roseau County Museum can call (218) 463-1918. The museum is at 110 Second Ave. N.E. in Roseau.

The Roseau Public Library had water in the building and lost materials stored on the floor or lower shelves. People who want to volunteer at the Roseau Public Library should call (218) 463-1551 to check if volunteers are needed.
